Forward Education Trust is a growing Multi Academy Trust established in 2017 serving special schools across the West Midlands area.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Business Administration Apprentice to play a key role at  Forward Education Trust.  We now have 6 schools in Birmingham and Sandwell, with The Heights Academy due to open in Solihull in September 2023.

We are looking for an aspiring Office Manager to undertake an administrative role over the next academic year with a view to progressing to the Office Manager role when the Heights Academy opens in September 2023.  The successful candidate will be a professional, determined and flexible individual with a can do attitude.  They will be able to multitask and manage a varied workload prioritizing in a fast-paced environment. They will have strong ICT, literacy and communication skills and have a friendly approachable manner. They will need to be conscientious and pay attention to detail and will take responsibility for ensuring Trust and Academy procedures are followed at all times.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Providing an efficient and effective administrative service to the Trust central team
  • Providing excellent reception and switchboard support
  • Supporting business operations to run smoothly and efficiently
  • Providing financial support to the business team
  • Providing admin cover to schools when necessary, and supporting with the set up of administrative systems and processes in preparation of the opening of the Heights Academy

The role is initially based at the Head Office in Leycroft Avenue, Tile Cross, B33 9UH but there will be travel to schools within the trust for training or to support with cover; from September 2023 the role will be based at the Heights Academy, Auckland Drive, Birmingham, B36 0DD.
