Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Forward Education Trust  is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the exemptions, and the non-compliances listed above.

Primary, Secondary and Special schools are partially exempt from the accessibility requirements for public sector websites.  This exemption does not extend to content needed to access essential services, such as forms for school meal preferences.

Due to this partial exemption, Forward Education Trust believes that it is currently meeting the government’s requirements on website accessibility, but the Trust and its schools aim to continue to improve accessibility as outlined below.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are working to improve accessibility on our websites and as we publish new content we plan to:

  • Ensure that heading elements are always in sequentially descending order
  • Where documents are required, aim to make them as accessible as possible and include information on how to access an alternative version of the document
  • Improve link visibility and distinguishability
  • Explore including subtitles in future video content
