As a leading multi-academy trust in Birmingham, we’re actively seeking to recruit dedicated and experienced Non-Executive Directors to join our Board of Trustees. With over 400 employees, a responsibility for more than 800 children, and an annual budget exceeding £20 million, Forward Education Trust is committed to providing exceptional education across our seven special schools.

The Trust is looking for individuals with a strong commitment to civic duty. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in finance, business operations, information technology, or human resources.

Being a trustee with Forward Education Trust is an incredibly rewarding experience. You have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people, while also gaining valuable skills and experience by working alongside a diverse and committed group of professionals. Our Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in supporting the Trust’s mission to inspire young people to excel in their education, improve their life chances, and build strong school communities. We are excited to invite interested people to talk to us, so we could welcome new trustees who can contribute to our strategic goals in the coming years.

New trustees will be supported with a comprehensive induction and training programme, and will have the opportunity to attend board meetings, visit schools, and engage directly with the Trust’s activities to gain a deeper understanding of its work.

Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Simon Dilkes, CEO of Forward Education Trust, at governance@fet.ac for further information.
